I'm gasping for air, my heart racing like a jackhammer in my chest. The sound of gunfire still echoes in my ears, and I can smell the acrid scent of smoke and sweat. I'm being dragged through the dark corridors of Raven's Peak, my feet scraping against the cold stone floor. My rescuer's grip on my arm is like a vice, pulling me forward with a strength that's both reassuring and terrifying. I try to look up, to see their face, but my head is spinning and my vision is blurry. All I can make out is a blur of features, a glimpse of piercing blue eyes that seem to bore into my soul. We're moving fast, dodging through the shadows and leaping over obstacles. I stumble, my legs trembling beneath me, but my rescuer's grip holds firm. They're pulling me to safety, or so I think. But as we run, I start to feel a creeping sense of doubt. Who is this person? Why are they helping me? And what do they want in return? The questions swirl in my mind like a maelstrom, making my head spin. Suddenly, we burst through a door and out into the cool night air. I gasp, feeling the wind hit me like a slap in the face. We're on a rooftop, the city spread out before us like a dark, glittering tapestry. My rescuer pulls me to the edge, and I feel a wave of dizziness wash over me. I'm staring down at the ground, my stomach plummeting with fear. And then, I see it. A figure standing on the ground below, looking up at us with eyes that glow like embers. My sister. She's not alone. There are others with her, their faces twisted with malice. My rescuer's grip on my arm tightens, and I feel a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. "We have to jump," they whisper, their voice low and urgent. I feel a scream rising in my throat as I stare down at the ground, my heart racing with fear. And then, just as we're about to leap, I hear a voice behind us. A voice that makes my blood run cold. "You'll never make it," it says. I turn to see a figure emerging from the shadows, a figure with a twisted grin spreading across their face. And as I look into their eyes, I realize that I'm staring into the face of my own death. The figure raises a gun, and I feel my heart stop. Time slows down, and I'm frozen in terror. The trigger is pulled, and I feel myself falling, plummeting towards the ground. But just as all hope seems lost, my rescuer's grip on my arm tightens, and I feel myself being pulled back. I'm staring up at them, my eyes locked on theirs, and I see something that makes my heart skip a beat. A glimmer of recognition, a spark of familiarity. And then, it hits me. I know who my rescuer is. But before I can process the revelation, everything goes black. And as I fall into the darkness, I hear a whisper in my ear. "You're mine now."
