Seat Number 14-chapter 1 1
My heart was racing like a jackrabbit as I scanned the aisle, my eyes locking onto the figure standing a few feet away. It was a woman, her face pale and gaunt, with sunken eyes that seemed to bore into my soul. She was dressed in a faded business suit, her hair pulled back into a tight ponytail, and her gaze was fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat like a trapped animal. The woman didn't move, didn't blink, just kept staring at me with an unblinking gaze. I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead as I realized that I had no idea who she was or what she wanted. The bus rumbled on, the only sound the soft hum of the engine and the creaking of the seats. I was trapped, alone and vulnerable, with two mysterious strangers on a deserted bus in the middle of nowhere. The woman's gaze seemed to be pulling me in, drawing me closer with an otherworldly force. And then, just as I thought I was going to pass out from fear, she spoke. "You're looking for someone," she said, her voice low and husky. "Aren't you?" I nodded, my heart racing like a runaway train. "Who?" she asked, her eyes glinting with a knowing light. I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But before I could answer, the bus hit another pothole, and the lights flickered again. When they came back on, the woman was closer, her face inches from mine. And that's when I saw it - a small, silver necklace glinting in the dim light, with a tiny pendant that looked eerily familiar. Suddenly, my mind was flooded with memories, memories that I thought were long buried. The woman's eyes seemed to be burning with an inner fire, and I knew that I was on the verge of uncovering a secret that would change my life forever. And then, just as I was about to reach out and touch the pendant, the woman's eyes went black, and she whispered a single word in my ear: "Run."
