Seat Number 14-chapter 1 1
My heart was still racing from the woman's whispered warning as I frantically scanned the aisle, searching for an escape route. The bus was a prison, a metal box careening through the darkness with no signs of life outside. I was trapped, with two mysterious strangers and a driver who seemed oblivious to the danger lurking in the shadows. The woman's eyes had gone black, like two voids sucking all the light out of the world. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized she was still standing inches from my face, her cold breath whispering against my skin. And then, just as I was about to scream, the bus screeched to a halt, throwing us all forward. The doors swung open with a hiss, and a figure loomed in the entrance, its presence filling the entire bus. "Welcome to your destination," the driver's voice crackled over the intercom, his tone dripping with malice. As I looked up, my heart sank, and my blood ran cold. The figure in the doorway was not what I expected. It was someone I knew, someone I thought was dead. And as our eyes met, a scream tore from my lips, echoing into the darkness...
